Worms can play an important role in composting. However, Jonny 5's composting methods are a tad controversial: Some argue that worm composting should only be done indoors.

Comment by Fight With Tools on July 3, 2009 at 6:24pm: Indeed. A few days after I filmed this I was talking to someone about it and they told me this is not how it's supposed to work. Apparently, worms don't like the heat of a compost heap, and thus they probably all fled this bin immediately after this is filmed. Or they all died. I saw maybe one or two of them several days later, but since then I have seen none. Oh well, at least they are cute.
