All about Cat

I exist! Recognizing that I do in fact exist, and that I know nothing more than this, defines me. It was a lot easier to answer the 'all about me' sections when I was still defined by my favorite color, best friends, favorite songs, and favorite tv show. Now...it's not that simple. I refuse to choose any one color as my favorite because I believe that all colors should be appreciated for their individual qualities and beauty. Best Friends? I often feel like a loner. I have plenty of friends, but those that understand/realize all that I think about are few and far between. There was a time when a night of drinking at the bar was 'quality time' with my friends, but I have since educated myself on the misdoings in the world, and even the most innocent seeming time somehow seems a little unfulfilling for me. Much less, many of the minds that I feel the most connected to, I will never meet, for I have only connected to them through their writings, songs, and art, and most are since deceased. I suppose my true best friends are my family. Parenting our daughter, Kylie together has built an amazing bond between Jim and I . They are wonderful! As for favorite songs and tv shows, well, I just don't pay any attention to mainstream media. Once upon a time, I would spend hours upon hours sitting in front of a television, wondering where the time goes, and why I never felt the way the people on tv looked. When I was pregnant with our daughter, we chose to get rid of all of the tvs in our house. That was over 5 years ago, and all I can say is...I will never mindlessly sit watching tv ever again. I just can't do it. Music however, is a different story. I love music! I am a musician, I play the drums and marimba, and am a fan of anyone that puts their heart into their sound. I believe in supporting each other to create what we love and believe in. We are not just consumers, sent here to buy, buy, buy, we are creators. We have the light! I am a Lover; Compassionate; Nurturer; A Being of The Earth; Mother; Friend; Listener; Speaker; Healer; Naturalist; I Read; Learn; Laugh; Wonder; Anger; Feel; I Exist!
