Andrew J. Wood Occupies that make changes

How come we havent started occupy movements geared toward major grocery stores? We could get some of these mega grocers to begin investing in local aggriculture and permaculture, which would bring jobs and food supplies to local areas.I

Dani Liddle Chilled fingers and frosty noses.

Today we finally had a rather large amount of snow hit our town. Normally we've had an inch or 5 for the past 2 months but this year it strangely waited so long. Well I had to go out and shovel. I'm not about to complain, I like it. It makes me feel good to do something that helps. Maybe that's why I love my job. I'm just a busser at a near-by restaurant but I like when they ask me questions or just jest with me if I'm cleaning a table next to a couple or giving them more water. Ever since…

Luke Daniel OWS – Major movements, what’s the reason?

My girl and I were talking last night about Occupy Wall Street and we could not figure out what the main purpose is.  We have been watching it unfold since it started 5 days after our daughter was born and we still can’t find what the main purpose is.  It seems that there are a great number of people that are willing to support a movement for change but what is that change they are seeking?

We have heard terms like the 99%, the 1%, big government and so on but I think we…

Andrew Mattson Writing.

I always enjoyed reading when I was young, sometimes to the point that it would get me in trouble. I would ignore teachers in class when they were trying to teach me actual facts so that I could focus more on the fictional scenarios in my favorite author's books. I would stay up late and miss the bus in the morning, sometimes purposely. In my youth I had even gone as far as stealing books that I wanted bad enough but couldn't afford. It was so much easier to live in a book than it was in…

Patch Constitutional Amendements

I will post constitutional amendments.  Mainly amendments that will help the 99%.  Just to get this out in the open.  I am a believer the that Founding Fathers knew that they did not know what was going to happen with the constitution.  Proof of that was the Articles of Confederation.  James Madison designed the U.S. Constitution around the idea that things change in a society and that it is the duty of those elected to represent the people.  We the people means all of us are the government.… Continue

anyone is everyone The Next Great Thinker

Philosophy new or old? As i walked around the city a conversation hit my ears. Why arent there any mondern philosophers? At first i have to admit i thought that was a stupid question. But then i started expanding on that idea. I went back and forth in my head is there any left? Would publishers want a book that brought people out of fantasy life would people even read it. The habit is with humans we want something we go look for it and when we find it we just tear it down. Do even want to… Continue

anyone is everyone People or ants

People like to think that manners are what seperate us form animals. Then you sit on a bench in any city and watch people pass by. They walk by and they use these little manners that are programmed into there little head. I watch them everyday when i sit down for 10 minutes and i laugh. They dont acknowledge the people around them. instead they look the other way or see what they want to see. The homeless man sitting there the girl crying the lost child. They go unseen everyday unhelped and… Continue

Sheppard Tim DeChristopher addressed the court and the judge today

Tim DeChristopher addressed the court and the judge today. This is what he said:

Thank you for the opportunity to speak before the court.  When I first met Mr. Manross, the sentencing officer who prepared the presentence report, he explained that it was essentially his job to “get to know me.”  He said he had to get to know who I really was and why I did what I did in order to decide what kind of sentence was appropriate.  I was struck by the fact that he was the first person in this…

Dani Liddle Dodging cars

Tonight I rode my bike around town. The town I live in is small so it doesn't take very much effort to go from one side to the other. I have lived here for a very long time and know every nook and cranny like no other. I have wandered these streets thousands of times, years and years of memories like every inch of pavement. Maybe that's why I live in my past so much. Feeling every change like a stab in my heart. Like my whole world has been shifted light-years off it's course. It's probably…

Stefan Alexiev The Reason You Are Broke - The Answer to Economic Catastrophe; Consumption to Production

This blog is dedicated to Stolichnaya, for without having this cocktail with their Blueberry Vodka right now, I would probably not be as inspired as I am now in sharing information that the average schmo should know a little something about. The kind of information that actually matters because it affects you and everyone around you every day. Like why the stock market is up so much again but you and your pals still can’t seem to get a decent job. Why you…

Erik Keith Soprano’s Edie Falco and Sex and the City’s Cynthia Nixon Appear in Stand Up To Cancer PSA

Patients are often overwhelmed with medical information once they have been diagnosed with cancer. Many do not fully understand the risk of infection during chemotherapy and the potential impact it has on one’s overall treatment success.

Kyle McCammon Band in VB

Okay, so I think that we all by now understand that change needs to come about in this world. I also know, and I'm sure that all of you know as well, that music is one of the best ways to connect with people. People that we know, people that we don't know, and people that would otherwise never even have thought about any ideas that we propose. Of course, not everyone is an amazing musician who's gonna change the entire world with his or her one breakout song. But, band organization is a…

Mazeman Yet another illegal war. Where is Congress when we need them?

More of the same, where's the "change" we were promised? Joe Biden threatened to impeach G.W. Bush over unconstitutional wars. http://www.infowars.com/hypocrite-biden-threatened-bush-impeachment-over-unconstitutional-war/

Why does the executive branch/Obama, Bush defy the Constitution in favor of the United Nation's agenda?

Zazzerak Why change is difficult

nobody wants to stick up for the minority, no one wants to stick their neck out for the chopping block. the wealthy are on top and they will do everything they can to stay there. but It is difficult for the minority, the weak to gain voice. more often than not it takes a wealthy upper class individual who is brave enoguh and strong enough to speak on behalf of the weak. that is a very dangerous position. Martin Luther king Jr. from the day he started the civils rights movement knew people would… Continue
