National Immigration Solidarity Fast at Across the United States

July 30, 2010 to August 2, 2010

Coloradans for Immigrant Rights is joining the nationwide fast & vigils in solidarity with the people in Arizona affected by SB1070. About Me: Struggling single parent wanting a better place for my child and myself. I see how the world around me needs to change because things can't keep going the way they are and I know that even small changes have a big impact.

How I would like to change the world:: Improve educational standards world wide, increase literacy rates. Allow for freedom of speech. Help the plight of women and other "minorities". Help everyone to succeed.

Tools I Have: Ability to write and speak publicly, good and organizing and keeping commitments. Also friendly, compassionate and able to connect and empathize with people.

Tools I Need: a completed education

Favorite Bands: This is kind of a load question especially because of how essential music has always been in my life but here are some of the bands I like: Flobots, M.I.A, U2, Pete Seeger, R.E.M, Peter, Paul and Mary, One Republic, Pink Floyd, The Fray, Smashing Pumpkins, Shakira

Seriously though I really don't have any favorite bands just like I don't have a favorite genre of music.
