In answer to your question, I'm actually a pacifist. And in my line of activist work, I have run across situations that either had potential to be violent (drunks trying to pick fights), or did wind up violent (such as a time I happened upon a couple of folks beating the crap out of a homeless man). Ideally, I would prefer NOT to resort to violence. But there have been times where it has been the only option for keeping bad incidents from becoming worse.
I hope that answers your question :)
Fight With Tools is hosting a national conference at the end of the year. The conference will bring close to 200 Street Team members from across the country to the Denver area. When asked about their housing preference, they expressed interest in staying with fellow streat teamers.
Each street team is allowed to bring up to 3 people and we're trying to keep street teams together. Would you be able to house 1-3 people from December 29-31?
If you house fellow street team members, you not only make new friends, but you get to attend the conference as well! If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact me on FWT or at emlbn4@yahoo.com Thanks and keep up the good fight!
Peace,
Elisabeth
