The Together We Rise Non Profit Organization was founded by an ambitious college student who inspired his colleagues and friends that there was more to life then their own success. After having the honor of becoming a genuine friend with a teammate that was a foster child, several of his former teammates and local friends banded together to take the initiative and take action. Our organization focuses on ‘Paving a New Path” for underprivileged children (i.e. foster, neglected, dependent and abused) by hosting events. We want to help by going above and beyond the norm. Together We Rise is about doing things together. We want to have a more lasting impression than just the group that donated some clothes. We want to make sure that they actually fit. With members primarily between the ages of 15-23, we are not here for monetary reasons; we are here because our life experiences have brought us together. Our Mission: Through modeling, training, and coaching "Together We Rise" equips and provides children with opportunities that would otherwise never be available to them. Through Networking, Community involvement, and youth inspiration, "Together We Rise" will strive for better education, awareness and opportunities for these children. . .
How I would like to change the world:
I would like to change the world by developing status on how much community service you do, and how much you donate to charity. I would like to reach out and help under privileged children to show them that we are not all the same, that there is hope, that there is a better future ahead.
Tools I Have
I have friends, people with the same ambitions, people who want change
Tools I Need
I need more and more volunteers, I want to change the world one child at a time, I need people to help me give back and create a new era that is not know to others, but known to the our new generation.
Favorite Bands

Hey there. I know we haven't talked in a while. Sorry for being so MIA. Things have just been crazy and busy. I hope your holidays were filled with joy and hapiness. Some of us just recently returned from the FWT Conference in Denver. It was amazing. We are now back ready to get things going again. I wanted to let you know that we are having a movie night this Friday in Northern San Bernardino by Cal State. There will be food, refreshments, watching films about social and political issues, and discussing what people would like to see change in the Inland Empire. We would love it if you can make it. Give us some insight on what its like to run a non-profit, issues that your organization tackles, and some possible teaming up. Let me know and I'll provide the address and directions on how to get there. Talk to you soon.
heyya! thanks for the comment! we only set up geographical groups because the purpose of groups is to organize your local area around anti-oppression work and not to get niched into one area of service...is there a group for your local area? i could set one up if there is not so you can connect with your local folks...
I think right now the only groups are geographic ones, and Seth can set one up for you. You can find her in the "featured members" on the members page. We're just getting going, so if you have ideas about other sorts of groups that would be helpful as we move forward, feel free to pass it on to Seth.
Two professional soccer players is a great start! Presumably they can play the same role with TWR that the Flobots play on FWT in terms of using their position to attract and connect others.
Hey thanks for adding to our inland empire street team. I saw the message on the group discussion and I hope you're able to make to the meeting on Sunday. Your organization has a noble cause and it would be great to join forces for different projects to make a greater impact. Good luck.
Wow! Way to go. I wish we had 30 people actively involved in the program I work on (informed enlistment). We also work on immigrant rights in my office, and they have quite a few members. AFSC has been around since 1917, and our office in Denver since 1954, so we're oldsters. Sounds like y'all have tons of energy to great stuff. Yay!
Hey welcome to FWT! Sounds like a fabulous mission. The organization I work for works to make sure that young people know that they have lots of options after high school. Many are led to believe that the military is their only option, and we believe that many great futures await youth--even, or especially, the ones who've been told they can't do any better. Look us up at "make our schools military free" here on FWT. Welcome!
