I like animals, music, tattoos, and learning new things. I'm one of those crazy vegans and active in animal rights issues. I've come to realize that most of the people I know just don't care about the world around them. I'm in the construction industry and i work all over northern Illinois all the way from Chicago to Freeport. I work long hours for little pay to make a multi-millionaire richer than he already is. I don't have a lot of free time to meet new people but I would really like to try.
How I would like to change the world:
Although my main focus is animal rights, I would like to help connect activist groups together with each other. The oppression we are all fighting in our little groups is all related whether you are involved with racism, animal rights, global warming, workers rights, war, civil liberties..whatever. These things are all intertwined.
I would like to get more people interested or at least educated on how factory farms harm the environment and perpetuate global warming. When I refer to factory farms I am referring to farms that raise animals for slaughter or dairy. Many people have a disconnect between their cute little dog, and the cow or pig that is on their plate. I won't go into a rant or get preachy but I can say I am a very healthy and happy herbivore.
I also believe cannabis should be used as a medicine and for industrial purposes.
I would like to help people however I can.
Tools I Have
Willing to use civil disobedience to make my point and who knows what else, I'm willing and able to stand against oppression, willing to learn, willing to listen to people with different opinions

Hello! We're meeting this Saturday at the Mercury Cafe. I hope you can make it. This is a great opportunity to find the tools you need: people & ideas :D
Okay, this is really funny! Natch, I was away from the internet for a week and didn't get it till now. My former neighbor, Ashleigh, is on here and she's a big animal rights activists. You can probably find her in my friends if you want to connect. She almost turned me from a vegetarian into a vegan with her incredible vegan cooking.
When you find that 25th hour in the day, let me know! Glad you're here!
