Saturday, FEB 21, 2009 from 7-9PM at AFSC, 901 W 14th Ave # 7 Denver, CO 80204.We'll be discussing practical ways to make our street team(s) sustainable - or healthy - whichever term you prefer! We're thinking that it's going to be important to find ways to learn to know each other and encourage each other as we work together.A couple of example ideas for discussion: 1) We could figure out a way for people who want to to get together to share versions of our life stories. 2) We could maybe figure out a system for each of us to recieve and send one piece of encouraging/beautiful/funny mail...because mail..pretty much rocks.....Come, bring your ideas and questions, and also try to think of an example to share of a time when you have been encouraged - either by someone you know or someone you didn't know.Message kristine or Sarah Sarah if you have questions. Yes...the 9th - this Saturday, from 2-4 at Hooked on Colfax, which is a coffee shop on E. Colfax. The details are listed under "Central Denver Wake-Up session"....which is under "Events" on the upper righthand side of this page. You can RSVP there...and the address is there, etc.

Sorry we missed you at tonight's meeting. It was a great time we had banana bread and we talked about alot of different topics but perhaps you'll be able to make it to the next meeting. We are planning on having a wake-up session soon so hopefully we'll be able to see you at that.

To answer your question on the group page, Denver is AMAZING! This is where Street Team began and we have many outlets in which to participate. We helped organize the Tent State event @ DNC with Rage/ Flobots / and tons of great local bands, registered more than 1100 voters, and have built tons of other programs for Street Team to reach out to. Plug in to as many Colorado groups as you can to find out about the different actions. Currently the Arvada team needs volunteers for Habitat for Humanity work.

It's at 14th and Speer, downtown. 901 W. 14th Ave., #7, Denver, 80204. You'll think you're in the wrong place--it's the Courthouse Square Apartments building, but there's a commercial side that you get to through the left-most door. Then you can't miss it. Just park facing the building or along the fence on 14th. THe biggest sign you'll see on 14th (one way at that point) is a RESIDENT PARKING ONLY sign. You can always call if you get lost--404-317-2234. It's actually my office (and Flobots.org, too), and people get lost getting there all the time. Hope to see you!
