About Me

I want to help.

I am going to school for Political Science, Communication and some from of art I have not specified. I am crazy about the ever evolving work of social justice and I use my art as an outlet for all of my thoughts related to that. You can see some of it here on my page, Americawillbe.org(Bonds of Humanity) and at myspace.com/foreverclementine(Art myspace only, it is constantly updated and you can see it even if you do not have a myspace!). I spent the last year as the organizer for South Carolina Towns and I am proud to say it was an amazing year! Check out our page to see what we've done and continue to do. I am also a mother of a two year old boy named Jordan Alexander. He is my man :)

How I would like to change the world:

I want to paint the world as I see it from the eyes of a an artist, a mother, a soldier, a sister, a wife and an American . My art will be a mirror to society. I believe it is easy to run through life and forget to look at your reflection and realize the impact it is making. I will provide a mirror with an accurate portrait for those willing to look.

I also write poetry with absolutely no training or proper structure, just the words from when my brain say, "you should write this down!"

Also, I have come to find I am an ants in my pants kind of lady, I want to go clean, I want to go protest, I want to educate, I WANT TO ACTIVATE....which makes it difficult to stop and focus on researching to make up my own mind about issues. So I need patience and discipline to study.

So I do stuff with Fight With Tools cause it feeds my soul. I ummm...think of what is no good and ask others what they think is no good and then we think of awesome ways to you know "change" that. Violent Ghandi?

I have been debating my opposition to the war. In lieu of losing 5 friends and my friend losing 8 in the last couple months to the war in Afghanistan, I have been contemplating what the world I am building in contrast to this conflict looks like. I miss Colorado and we are trying our damnedest to get back out there, but there are no jobs to be had, and those that open up are being snatched up by the locally unemployed. I am keeping my fingers crossed, though. I could use being surrounded by more positivity. It simply won't happen here. We simply can't get into every home and stop every parent from teaching their offspring ignorance and hate. The misinformation starts from birth here, I think, continues through school and church...sad to feel so hopeless against it. Miss you soldier!
