My name is Keaton, I am 15 years old and I go to Etiwanda High School. I try to live my life along the lines of a story I herd when i was little. I’m not sure where I herd it or who it was from, but it always seemed to stick to me. Its about a man walking on the beach after a storm, thousands of starfish had washed up to shore and it went on for miles. After a wile, he came across a guy that picked up every starfish he passed and through it back out to sea. The man told him that there was no use, he would never be able to save them all. at that, he tossed another back and said "But what a world of difference it must make to the ones that I do." Lately I’ve been investing a lot of time writing. I come off as shy and tend to keep to my self unless you really know me or it's a subject I’m passionate about. My biggest inspirations are Mahatma Gandhi, Bradley Nowell, Ray Bradbury, Jimi Hendrix, Dr. King, Bob Marley, Barrack Obama, Rise Against, Flobots, and many others. These people have all deeply inspired me and shaped my cause in life.
How I would like to change the world:
Well, I'm one person so I can only do so much, but i can still do something. At this point I’m tossing a few star fish at a time. but with my writing and my dream to one day be a movie director, I can hopefully inspire more people to make a change. one person can only so much but if more people joined in the beach would be clear of starfish in no time!
Tools I Have
Ambition, Hope
Tools I Need

Favorite Bands
My favorite band is Sublime but i also love Rise Against, Buckcherry, Kottonmouth Kings, Shwayze, Jimi Hendrix, Lupe Fiasco, Cake, Gym Class Heroes, and of course Flobots is a given.

Hi Keaton. I like your story, it almost in a way reminds me in a way of what my childhood was like.

if you do decide to come on over, let me know so i can send directions your way! or you can call me at 909-645-6966. welcome to FWT, i look forward in meeting you!
Glad you like the video. If you ever come across other cool stuff like that, please send it my way. I have a lending library of books on nonviolence and peace education, but a) it's harder to share those with people far away and b) I think a lot of people don't have the time and patience to read giant tomes. I really wish I could sit and read for a year solid. I sort of did that in graduate school, but it wasn't stuff I really wanted to read.
You should definitely post your writing on here, if you want to share it or get feedback. I never have as much time as I'd like to read different posts, but I did just spend a little time learning about Brady Nowell, thanks to you. Now I'm gonna go listen to Sublime. I think I'd pretty much stopped listening to the radio by the time they came out, so I don't know much, but it seems like I might like them.
I met Art and Sarah last week, and they're really really nice. Hope you can make movie night!
Hey Keaton. I see Sarah has messaged you, but I wanted to stop by and say hello as well. Thanks for taking the time to sign up for the Inland Empire Street Team. I have read your profile and you sound like a cool guy. There are a couple of people in our group that are in high school as well so its great to see that your ready to make change at such a young age. I really liked your story about the guy at the beach. We definitely need more people to work together to help the starfish and clean up the beach! I hope your able to make our movie night Friday. It would be great to see you there. Also, feel free to invite other friends and family members if they wish. Talk to you soon.

At the Fight With Tools Conference that was held last week in Colorado, the IE Street Team obtained many different films on social and political issues (such as access to clean water, food sustainability, corporations, oil industry, etc). Cynthia is hosting a movie night at her house this Friday at 6:30 PM. It's going to be casual. We'll probably watch the film, discuss, and eat some good, home cooked food. If you are interested, let me know and we can get you directions. Let me know if I haven't answered anything and I'll respond :) It is so motivating to see the younger generation on FWT!! :)
