Can't find Oregonian members and thinking I might have to pitch in real local and have them join up on this free school idea

Free-school in Eugene potential

My girlfriend and I have a pretty clear idea of what we'd like to accomplish in Eugene, Oregon.  Unemployment out here is rampant, adding to an already swollen population of street youth who find security in homeless services out here.  Most have formed cliques that are sort of like gangs but are made up of dysfunctional teens or teens from dysfunctional families.  Several stratas of dispossessed generations can not be allowed to build up behind the burgeoning solidarity of our own, which has…See More

About Me
Aspiring slam poet but still trying to wrestle even my contemporaries' influence from those thoughts to see if originality exists. Moved to Eugene because I didn't like the Tea Party, but the wishy washiness of the old/new/whatever left is just as stifling. You guys seem to evidence concerted efforts with media tools to prove your progress, a movement for many issues that involve more than a day's picnic with a picket sign. I say it's about time.
How I would like to change the world:
I would like to gather into my poetry most of the shame and ill feeling that doesn't express itself in the consequences of the iniquitous and explode visibly outward with it. I'll do anything as a simple individual amongst many if the march is going to accomplish a goal rather than mere protest. I only want REAL involvement, REAL movement. That said, if I dig the principles of such I'll do whatever homework you got for me
Tools I Have
Stack of notebooks, flair for public showcase, strong arms
Tools I Need
Depends on the job and the people in my area. I'm not an activist leader. Maybe my politics are solid, but I know that I don't have the context or experience to start anything alone. Just people who know what they're doing who can teach me something new
What issues are you most passionate about?
Building solidarity, which is an issue that culminates from many smaller ones. Removal of time consuming home entertainment, transparency in reporting, accountability in our aristocracy (which does exist, like it or not), and free-schooling that makes up for structure with scope.
