Hey man, great to hear from you, I'm sure we could work something out, but honestly you need to go through our publicist, rob moore, to set it up. We can have tons of interviews on any given day, So if we can work it in between sound check or before doors we will. make a formal request to rob emailing him at moore@60cyclemedia.com. Look forward to seeing you in DC!
The only name I know is the MARC..not the Amtrak. It costs about $7 with a student ID! But be forewarned, the train only departs twice on the weekends, once in the morning and once at night. If the show is during the week, you should have no problems. Let me know when you come up for a show and I'll try to catch up with you! :-)
Moving to Chocolate City soon eh? Well there are a few ways to get from DC to Bmore via Public Trans, some easier than others.
The best way to find out how to get anywhere is through the MTA website or GoogleMaps (I've linked directions from GWU to Ram'sHead on the GoogleMaps one ;) )
If you get a discount from GWU, you can get a monthly transit pass for around $45.
With it, you can ride the Metro as much as you want, the Bus as much as you want, the Light Rail as much as you want, and get discounts on MARC tickets. Look in to that when you sign up for you meal plan and get your photo taken for your student id, they are usually available in the same place.
I hope you have a great semester and that you like DC! Save up for a good winter coat, its quite a bit cooler in winter here than in Miami! ;-)

If you have any other questions about DC or Bmore, feel free to ask!
