350philly.org

Hello, everybody. As you have probably seen on the main page, 350.org is an international group dedicated to climate change actions. If you go to their website, they have a link to www.350philly.org which is their specifically Philadelphia group. They seem to pretty active, and I encourage FWT members to go to any meeting they are holding. I myself am going to try to make it to several, specifically:


Wednesday, October 21st, 7-8 PM: A talk and dinner on Animal Agriculture and Climate change.
Horizons Restaurant; 611 S 7th St, Phila, Pa, 19147
(Horizons is a vegan restaurant)
Entrance fee of $30 ($35 if you pay at the door) covers appetizer, meal, and one drink. Anything more costs extra, but will be available. Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks to be served.

Thursday, October 22 (6-8:30 PM): Academy of Natural Sciences, an "Urban Sustainability Forum on Green Infrastructure Financing"

And then, on Saturday, Oct 24, is the International Day of Climate Action. I would much prefer if FWT philly was doing their own action, but since we are still so few in numbers, any who are able and willing should go to Independence Mall at 1 PM (5th/Market). I am not entirely sure what they are doing, but that is the meeting spot for 350philly. Also, go to their website (again, www.350philly.org ) and look around, because there is more actions on that day all around the city, and others throughout the week.
