I know... late notice, but instead of going down to Washington D.C. for the Rally to Restore Sanity hosted by Jon Stewart & Corbert, I got the Piazza at Schmidts to play it on their 40' jumbotron screen. If you've never been there, it's in Northern Liberties on 2nd St. just south of Gerard Ave.in Philadelphia. The TV is over 30,000 sq ft of open space, stores, bars etc. Check it out at www.atthepiazza.com. The Rally will be from 12pm to 3pm. Hope to see you there, and we can talk about how we can change things!
Would anyone be interested in going down to D.C. to attend the Rally to Restore Sanity? I was thinking about going and checking it out. Here's some of the info: via http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com 1) When is the Rally?Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. EST, Rain or Shine! 2) Where is the Rally? The Rally will take place on the far eastern end of the National Mall between 3rd Street and 7th Street, known as East Seaton Park and Henry Park. 3) Do I need tickets? No, the event is free of charge and open to the public. First come, first served. 4) Who are the speakers? Jon Stewart and special guests.
Dan, The video is AWESOME!!!!! I'm so happy with how it turned out. And thankful we have you and your talents to help illustrate to people what we're trying to do. Great job. GO FIGHTWITHTOOLS! GO PHILLY STREET TEAM!
Thanks to all who attended. The Urban Greenspace Sustainability Project was a success! I would say we had approximately 25 volunteers from our group, friends, and local orgs and neighbors. We turned a pretty much abandoned, overgrown, trash-filled lot into a beautiful garden, including a juneberry tree! We hope this brings a positive change to the community, where they can continue to beautify their neighborhood and take pride in it.
I'm going to try to add a couple of pictures of the end result here, but Dan of Philly got lots of video footage of the project. Please look out for the finished video on the site an especially on the Philly Street Team Page.

I 100% agree with your sentiment, but even if nobody checks the page but me and you, we gotta keep using the page. if for no other reason, then because this is where it started, and so that anybody who stumbles here knows who we are.
