Another showing of how bad our crime is getting in this city, On Saturday night around 3 AM Wendy Burns, A much loved bartender and friend of many was shot in the back in a attempted armed robbery at the corner of Gov. Nichols and Dauphine, she died at the scene. I can't imagine what must be going on in other parts of the city, The 8th district (canal to Elisian and Rampart to the river) has more police than any other area (135 officers to be exact) and more reported armed robberies than any other area (178 last year, the unreported number probably twice that) I don't know what we can do about this but I do intend to find out, the numbers are getting out of hand in this city and we are the ones who have to do something about it.
