Is anyone still active here. I can't seem to find any new posts. Although I may just be blind.

Have you register for the regional gathering yet? Check out the Events page for more details.

If you're planning on attending the Detroit gathering, you can register here: http://flobots.twomile.com/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=9

From Jonny 5: "The Activate Tour is an opportunity to re-energize and reorient ourselves. There will be a strong focus on laying the foundation for street teams to take action, including workshops and trainings on basic organizing strategies, grassroots fundraising, and conflict resolution."

Hello!

Chicago's monthly meetup has been set for the 27th. I know it's a short notice, but I didn't want to wait until July since we missed our May meetup. I have very exciting news and lots of updates. I know FWT has been somewhat inactive overall, but I'm so excited about all the changes that are happening and can't wait to share with you.

I hope to see you there!

Also, I was lucky enough to be part of the new Flobots.org open house event (pictures coming soon :-D). Please check out the videos that were uploaded if you haven't already done so.

Looks like we're going to have to move the May monhly meetup yet again. We had agreed on the 16th, but I didn't realize that the green festival is going to be that weekend and some of us are going to be there volunteering.

I'd still like to invite all of you to attend the Green Festival. Is going to be quite an experience. If you're under 18, admission is free. I hope to see you there!

Here's another volunteering opportunity.

Habitat for Humanity - painting (Community Service)
We have an event set up for orientation on August 1st, but the local Habitat for Humanity group needs our help now. They are finishing up a house in Elgin and need help painting inside and out. Here's a link to their website:
www.springoflifehabitat.org

The event will be for the whole day, but you can come out for as much time as you can spare.

We will need to have the final count by Thursday May 14th because they provide lunch and will want a count, so sign up as soon as possible.
Thanks!
