From Jonny 5: "The Activate Tour is an opportunity to re-energize and reorient ourselves. There will be a strong focus on laying the foundation for street teams to take action, including workshops and trainings on basic organizing strategies, grassroots fundraising, and conflict resolution."

Hello Flint!

My name is Alicia and I'm from the Chicago Street Team. I'm also the rep for the Mid-North region. I included the region info below for your reference.

I know there hasn’t been much activity lately in both the site and some local teams. Fortunately, FWT National has been working really hard to re-launch the site and our organization as a whole after the “pause” we took since the beginning of the year. You probably already noticed some of the changes being made to the site. They are also working on a new curriculum that I’m confident will help street teams become more active. No more wondering what we are supposed to do :-D. It’s all so exciting! Even more exciting are the regional gatherings that will be taking place soon. Our region is schedule for October. We will have training for organizers and members! Stay tune for more details.
Also, could the organizer of this group please contact me? I’d like to start working with you and start coordinating for our regional gathering.

I’m looking forward to working more closely with you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns....or just to say hi :-D

Regardless of me living in Grand Rapids, all of Michigan is crumbling and WE the people are partly to blame...but if we make a mess we clean it up....we can change the tempo, we can raise the temperature, there will be no cold feelings in the future, thanks to this generation, this attempt at a NEW WORLD, more will begin to see...and people will be falling into our cause like the snow flakes of the winter Michigan sky. Together we will rise, together we will rise, together we will rise. If anyone is ever in Wyoming, MI or Grand Rapids, MI and you happen to see graffiti with a tag of "WRECKO" next to it, then it is me, trying to change the world one letter at a time.

I encourage all to stay active and aware in what our government is doing. There will be a special election in Flint in February. Get involved and stay involved. Flint is our home and we're allowing it to be torn down from the inside. I may live in Davison; we do everything in Flint. Once we lower our crime rate and citizens refrain from drug use; businesses will invest in this city. As a business owner, would you honestly want to build in a crime ridden; drug invested city?
