Hey, I'm Sheppard, a co-organizer of the Philly Street Team. I was wondering if anyone in the DC Street Team is planning on attending the Rally to Restore Sanity? I was thinking about going and checking it out. Here's some of the info: via http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com
1) When is the Rally?Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. EST, Rain or Shine!
2) Where is the Rally? The Rally will take place on the far eastern end of the National Mall between 3rd Street and 7th Street, known as East Seaton Park and Henry Park.
3) Do I need tickets? No, the event is free of charge and open to the public. First come, first served.
4) Who are the speakers? Jon Stewart and special guests.
Hey DC area! I work with an organization called Up With People. Our mission is to bring the world together using music as our primary message as well as activating communities to get out and volunteer. We travel, live with host families, do community service and perform all over the world. My cast is currently in Taiwan, and will be coming to DC October 14 - 24th. Along with working in the DC public schools we will be partnering with Keller Williams for their Make a Difference day Oct 23rd. I'm looking for anyone who wants to come out and give some of their time to help volunteer in some of the more underdeveloped parts of your city specifically Ward 8 and possibly Columbia Heights. Hit me up or check us out at www.uwpontour.com or http://www.youtube.com/user/UWPonTour
Oh yeah and our shows will be Fri and Sat Oct 22/23 at Columbia Heights Education Campus!
Come join our family our house is your house, help us active, transform this sound for the cause, pass it on and enjoy the music its all for WE. Team coe keep the dream alive and lets take flight positively.

Yo yo,
What's up ppl? I just wanted to say, we, as in the DC fight with tools local street team, should and very likely could have a booth at the upcoming powershift at GMU this year.
Hi D...
Thanks for reaching out! I do need help! I am running into dead-ends with finding an ideal location for our next Wake Up Session. The location should be: 1)Private/Quiet 2)FREE 3) Easily/Metro Accessible. Any thoughts?
Hey this message is mainly for Christine. Bishop told me to drop you a line, hit me back whenever you get a chance. I'd love to help out the team since I live so close to DC.

The World Bank and IMF will be holding their annual joint Spring Meetings April 24-26 in Washington DC. As they try to save themselves from the global financial crisis that their neoliberal policies brought us, we know better than to let them have all the fun without us. Join Global Justice Action to oppose these institutions, resist the dominant global order, and show that a better world is possible.
Friday April 24th Noon: 5k Run on the Bank - take a lunchtime run to the World Bank, meet at Malcolm X Park at 12 noon.
Saturday April 25th AM: Direct Action - disrupt the start of the IMF/World Bank meetings with blockades and unpermitted marches
Saturday April 25th 1pm-9pm: People's Economic Forum - Join us for an all day forum to learn and discuss the causes of the financial crisis, the role of the IMF and World Bank, and alternatives to the current system. St Stephens Church, 1525 Newton St NW (corner of 16th & Newton)
Sunday 2pm: March & Rally - permitted rally and march starting at Dupont Circle and ending in front of the World Bank
