I post this in Justice because it is thought that this may have been a suicide. We need to do something to let people know that there is somebody who cares for them. How can we provide justice through this tragedy? One idea that i had, that i put in to action is a text msg to my friends and family saying

"Yo. I wanted to take a second and tell you all i love you and thank you for all that you do, have done, and are doing! Thank you! You are more than friends... youre my family, and much appreciated!"

Friends, you are all my family! People need to know that you love & appreciate them more than Christmas, Valentines day and those holidays. How can we create sustainability in our culture if we can not break down these barriers? Any other ideas or thoughts?

This is a terrible tragedy. My thoughts are with his loved ones and I hope they may find peace through his legacy.
I'd just like to echo Jess's sentiments to say that my thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends during these trying times.
Michael and I crossed paths at a juncture in his life where he desperately needed things to work in his favor. We made the trek to Etown, Freestyled together, had real conversations about life and it's ups and downs, and tried to come up with a plan of action. My first actual conversation with him was in December (right around the time of the Arvada Wake Up session) although I do remember meeting him @ Tent State. He was a very passionate, driven, and creative person who inspired people and strove for the best! It was important to Michael for the Art community to unite, gain health care standards, and feed the hungry! He was a lyrical monster and could certainly give Jonny 5 or any of the other world class emcees, a run for their money! I am honored to have known this wonderful young man and will miss him dearly. I am writing a song with his inspiration and hope that he smiles down on it and knows that he is always in my heart and will never be forgotten!

RIP MSG

Well, I didn't know him, but he sounded like a really awesome friend. How about 'depression groups' but not called that, I don't know how else to put it though. Organizations of people that can meet up and hang out, talk about problems(vent), and have a good time with friends. Let people know that they have friends that care about them and the issues in their lives. Would help to forget maybe some issues that person(s) may be going through? Or maybe meet someone else with same problems, or someone that's been in the same situation? I don't know, I think sometimes it helps just to go in that deep dark place that's bothering you, and share it. I don't know. That's just something that might help some people going through some problems in life. Life is too valuable and our mission is too big too lose our friends and family.
Michael you will be missed. You were an amazing person with amazing ideas. I hope we all can continue your mission and your word. Rest in Peace!!!

I want to tell you all how much you all mean to me. You are all my family! Growing up with one parent and no siblings you learn who to trust. I want you all to know you are my brothers and sisters and I love and care for you dearly!
Terrible news.
Michael was such a genuine person and friend and he will be missed by many. His loved ones are in my thoughts and heart. Thank you Rus for sharing the picture. He will certainly not be forgotten. RIP Brother!
NP - in the short time I knew him, I developed a great admiration for him. HE inspired FIRE so let the FIRE burn in his memory and may we all NEVER forget how he touched people's lives. Wish I had more time with him :(
