Activity on here has dropped significantly since i joined roughly a year ago, If any change is going to occur in any way, shape, or form on our parts, this organization needs to woken back up. Who else agrees?
I agree as well, I just recently joined, seeking out freedom fighters to rally together. I figured this would be the best start I could have. The Flobots music is definately fuel to the fire of change that is needed in this country. Now we need to put forth the effort to create that change. Everyone you know needs to be a part of this change, for it affects them too. Rally together under the White Flag of Freedom and be heard. Stand and be recognized by those who believe they control the masses. Stare their weapons down with your very souls and watch them crumble. Stand up!
Also the way the street teams are divided among organizers is poorly done in my personal opinion. I live in South Central Virginia but i'm an organizer for the Hampton Roads region 100 miles away for about a year now. I dont know if thats the way it is with other but i cant do anything productive out there when I don't even live in that part of the sate.
So am I my friends, we must bring people together and the fact is, we need to create an unbiased news network, completely neutral, that way people won't be clouded by republican/democrat/ left-wing/right-wing thing goin on that's hurting way more then it's helping.
I agree, I am always struggling to find unbiased news, I am not a republican or a Democrat. I believe that change comes through individuals and not top-down systems of power.
As long as people are involved in the collection, processing and presentation of the news, there will be biases in it. However that's not a problem as long as people are open about their opinions.
John Stewart of the Daily Show is trusted by both sides of the aisle even though he's a hard core democrat. Why? Because he will give both sides a fair hearing before he makes fun of them.
The idea that journalists can somehow forget all their own opinions and natural biases to be completely impartial is B.S. It can't be done. At the very least word selection will be subconsciously affected by their opinions, at worst it will be intentional and with malice.
So how about just setting up a news network where the reporters are expected to provide a little personal background and maybe fill out a survey so we know where they stand. Then we can understand them and their stories better.
This site is not only dead but it's now being used by spamers to create profiles, posts and groups for nothing more than the purpose of creating higher link-back scores with google & other search engines.
Site moderators and developers need to step up to address these issues or the utility of the site will be negatively impacted. At the very least, it will give even more people a reason to not come around.
I agree and am angered by it. Lowkey's example is just one of many that i've noticed, and I've even written angry comments on some of them. Unfortunately, it doesn't make a difference commenting.
Though, I've lost my motivation. I cannot be an action group of one, and I don't know if I have the strength to build my entire street team from the ground up. It makes me realize how even those who want to do something to change their world, succumb to the overwhelming feeling that its impossible to do anything of value on a large scale.
I have to find the drive to keep going till I find more who believe in what I do and have the passion to make those beliefs a reality.
