Paint the Town

Paint the Town is a community service project I came up with a few months back.
We would like to mural as many buildings in the Peoria area as possible.  Give back some of the beauty that we have taken away.  So I am gathering artists willing to donate some of their time and talent.  I am gathering business owners to donate a wall, so our artists have a canvas to paint.

I know that painting buildings doesn't seem like it could change much.  However, this project not only makes our town something to be proud of again.  It creates inspiration.   Maybe one of the images inspires hope for an individual down on their luck.  Maybe it inspires another to step up and make a change for themselves.  At the very least it brings together like minded people.  People who want to make a difference, a change.  Hopefully after these people come together to work on this project, it will inspire other idea's, other projects, and continue to grow.  Change starts with the individual, and culminates with the masses.
