How do we become White Flag Warriors? What tools and skills do I need to practice being a White Flag Warrior in my local area? How do I use culture and art to support my own transformation for social justice and change work? White Flag Warriors 101 is an intensive workshop designed to start talking about these questions, building skills to do change work in our community, and developing analysis about how we function in the world

2010 QUARTERLY TRAININGS
FWT hosts quarterly day-long workshops at the Flobots.org community space that focus on skills, ideas, and dialogue about change work for
liberation. We use story-telling, art, theatre
of the oppressed, and dialogue-based education to create practice space
for new ways of living and being that bring us closer to our vision of
a just and creative culture.
"A New City"
We have a lot to say about what we don’t like and what isn’t socially just about our current neighborhood, city, country, and world. But we often have a difficult time investing in what a tangible vision of the world we want would look like. Using
the metaphor of building a new kind of city, we will explore the ways
intersections of identities, systems, stories, history, and imagination
inform what kind of a world we dream of building. We will also be using art and dialogue to start practicing what living in a new kind of city would be like.
March 27th, 10-3 “Excavating the Foundation”
June 26th, 10-3 “Laying the Ground”
September 11th, 10-3 “Architecting the Buildings”
December 11th, 10-3 “Pointing at the Sky”

Cost: $10 suggested donation (includes materials & lunch) – no one turned away for lack of funds

Its brilliant seeing a band actually developing on a project it started rather then just keeping the same for 10 years without expanding (Axis Of Justice) or just slowly letting it die (Underground Action Alliance, Millitary Freezone...). Anyway - I live in the wrong country but I'll fling this to some American friends.
