Biden Predicts Crisis soon after Obama is elected....

Quote: "Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking," Biden said.

"Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it's gonna happen," Biden continued.

The phrase "a generated crisis" seems to be the scary part here. It implies that it would not be a crisis that "naturally" occurs but one rather that is created by our government or another. Maybe a black flag op? Why are the democrats warning us that they're going to do it already? What do they have planned for us?

"It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong."

Voltaire (1694 - 1778)
Actually i think you can watch the full clip on CNN.com. It was takin out of context, but don't take my word for it watch and listen for yourself.

He also said: "As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s going to happen.” He said he could envision four or five scenarios that might arise to challenge the new president, citing Russia or the Middle East as possible sources of trouble."

As a student of history myself i have to agree, but he could have used a better choice of words to discribe this.

Still, who dosen't think the next president will be tested? Seriously...

Biden also added: "“I think I can be value added, but this guy has it. This guy has it.”, .........

He was basically saying that Obama is going to be prepaired for what ever happens just as other previous presidents had to be prepaired.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that we are currently in a crisis? Who ever wins in Nov. will be faced with this economic crisis on day one. You can quote me on that.

I would rather vote for someone who is prepaired for a crisis, than someone that thinks it's gonna be smooth sailing in the White House......

I'll end this with a quote myself- "The fundementals of the economy are strong"- John McCain on the day the economic crisis happened.
There's tested and then there's tested. The economic crisis is not what Biden was talking about.

If you remember on November 4 1979, the Iranians took our embassy and held it for a year. This was Carters test and he failed it pretty miserably, but you also have to recall the Iranian reaction to Reagan being elected. Reagan promised to resolve the issue and the Iranians took him at his word by releasing the hostages before Reagan was even sworn in. Carter projected weakness so they tested him. Reagan projected strength so they didn't.

For Biden to say that there will be a generated crisis implies that it will not be a normal event (like the economic issues) but one that is especially created to see what Obama will do.

This is scary on many levels:
1) It implies that the Bush doctrine of unilateral action to protect out interests is working and that Obama's rejection of it leaves our enemies wondering what they can get away with.
2) It implies that Biden sees Obama as weak and needing to be tested.
3) Bien sees himself as a "value add". I don't want a "value add" as Vice President. I want someone ready to be President. So it's almost like he's questioning himself.
4) How many americans have to die to "test" Obama?

It doesn't matter if Obama is prepared or not, what Biden is saying is the world doesn't see it yet and they will be trying to provoke an issue to see how far they can push Obama around. Remember international politics is basically the politics of the playground bullies. They will push to see what they can get away with. The only response that will be understood is a smack down. Do we really need more conflict now?

And lastly, whether or not John McCain said something stupid is totally irrelevant to the discussion at hand. And for one who tried to put Bidens comments in context to take McCains out of context is duplicitous. When McCain made that statement, he was referring to the American Worker and Work Ethic as the foundation of our economy. In that context, the statement is a good one, but hey keeping spinning and avoiding any discussion of Obama & Biden's weaknesses.

Note: I am NOT a McCain or Obama supporter.
Okay, where to start.

Reagan wasn't tested? Two decade-long wars in the middle east would argue otherwise. The outcomes of those two wars? Bin Laden and Hussein rose to power in their respective countries with the aid of U.S. involvement. Hindsight is 20/20, I know, but let's stop pretending that Reagan didn't guide us through Mary Shelley's atrium.

By "generated crisis," I believe Biden means that some country is going to attack another country. It only makes sense that with an exchange of power comes a loss of it. While the U.S. government's control is being switched from one president to another, the U.S. will be slow to react to such global concerns with any president elect. Obama, in my eyes, is more prepared for this kind of event. Look at the way John McCain lost his cool in the final debate. He lost his cool to a fellow american. What is he going to do when another country starts pulling his strings? I shutter at the thought.

I want a president that is calm and collected in the face of adversity. I want a president that rationalizes and thinks well on his feet. I want a president that can separate himself from a situation and look at it objectively. That is why I've voted for Barack Obama.
I said Reagan wasn't tested by the Iranians and I was specifically referring to a singular event (Embassy Issue).

Of course, presidents will face a wide variety of tests during their tenure, that comes with the job. What we don't need is other countries and groups creating events solely to test the new president and that's the kind of event I think Biden was referring to.

The question here isn't so much is Obama ready but does the world see him as ready? I don't believe they do. Given his statements about talking first and rejecting the policy of unilateral defense of US interests, I believe many groups will test him to see what they can get away with.

On the other hand, McCain is high strung. I don't believe many groups will try to push his buttons because they fear he will overreact. Does that make McCain a good choice......maybe if being attacked is your only concern.

I want a president who is principled, experienced, educated and a proud American. That is why I won't be voting for either John McCain or Barack Obama. I believe that both major party candidates are too pragmatic and have been bought by too many lobbyists & other interest groups to be the best candidate. John McCain's record makes him as undesirable as Barack Obama's lack of experience does him. I haven't decided what third party candidate I will vote for but it will probably be Ralph Nader or Bob Barr. Although even then it's not a perfect choice, just the best I see in a poor field of candidates.

If only Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich had won the nomination for their party, then we'd have a president worth electing.
If they'd both won their nominations, we'd have had a race that would have been discussed for generations to come.
This leaves me to wonder how much of our crises have been "generated" and how much people higher up know about it.
they did not finish the rest of his words in this statement - he went on to say Obama will be tested and he will show he is a proven leader and his strength as a leader will shine through - so basically he will be tested and he WILL succeed is what Biden was saying before it got censored through the mainstream media!!

Find out all viewpoints of a mainstream news coverage story before you rely on it.
There is little doubt that Obama will be tested if he wins. He's an unknown quantity and there are several groups in the world that will want to see how far they can push him.

Now predicting success is a risky gambit. If you're wrong, you just made the problem worse. If you're right, no one really remembers the prediction. Either way it was a dumb thing for Biden to say when he did because it reinforced the fact that McCain is far less likely to be tested.
what does his quote have to do with crisis? it mearly states that the world is going to test him. and that he will perservere. this qoute is also cut, edited, and cencored worse then fox news. this proves nothing.
I agree! for smart people who do their own research and make decisions for themselves this statement holds no bearings on my vote today!
I was reading in the times call the soldiers over seas vote didn't count. thats bullshit.
So is Biden psychic or just informed?
