We have to vote for Obama this year to stop the republicans from getting office. But four or if we have to eight years later I really think we have to get Ron Paul elected presidant. I have have felt that Ron Paul was the right choice for long enough to have vote for him in the primarys. I just recently Bought his new book "The Revolution". I highly suggest it because it explains his views and how the are based on the founding fathers. Good book check it out.

I’m with you, but be prepared for a whole lot of reasons why you shouldn’t do this. Just a warning, I’ve been having this very debate for some time now.
You've got the right idea. I don't like to suggest that anyone is wasting a vote this time by voting for anyone else, just that the fact is, either John McCain or Barack Obama will be the next president so we should choose the best one for getting our agendas done in the future or creating a good climate for real change.
Someone from around here who is pretty wise said "real change comes from banging on open doors, and Obama could be that open door"
ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR we could vote for a 3rd pary..Im personally voting nader..ppl stop thinking inside the box...you all scream "CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE" and then act like stupid sheep by continuing on the same broken path....The only wasted vote is a vote for some one you dont believe in....
This is probably the last post anyone will ever see from me. Im done with the whole situation and this site.
Everyone has their own reasons for voting for certain people. The things that influence a persons vote (ill admit) is mostly the word that travels through the mainstream. but all in all everyone, everyone has their own opinion on the situation(thats what we have above some stupid sheep). when I say this Im not including the fact that there are those who have no clue as to what they truly believe in-in terms of politics, because they are not active in politics. Thats where we who have our own OPINIONS step in to kind of point them in a decisive path toward who they want to vote for. With our freedom there is no wrong decision.
None of our nations leaders control who we are and what we fight for right? So vote for Nader and be prepared to defend why you are voting for Nader, or else end up like all the others who have no political knowledge and is "acting like stupid sheep".
hope you come back, difference in opinion is always healthy.
I understand how you feel but McCain winning is just too scary for me. Everything I believe in McCain believes the oppasist so it is voting for your believes if your voting against another set of beliefs. Close too probably around 40% of americans are base republicans. Which means they are going to vote republican no matter what. So right now to me republicans are the enimie. (for a lack of a better word.) Once we don't have to fear thier tyranny, then we can make change. Even if all the people who say they would vote for a third party did we still wouldnt win and mccain would.
I am currently reading that book right now and I would definately second the fact that people should check it out.
I am in the mindset to vote for who you personally believe in...not vote for Obama so McCain does not get elected. Believe in what you do, and do what you believe in. We all have different opinions for a reason--what is good for one person may not be good for another....we all live different lives, so why conform to what is good for someone else?
I'm voting for Obama and here is my logic. A lot of young people and people who are change-minded support him. If he does 1/4 of what he implies he wants to do, it is a step in the right direction. And if he doesn't (which I think he won't), there will be alot of youth and change minded people will be angry. Angry people change the world.
But up Ron Paul. He has shown me that there ARE a lot of people who are already pissed.
