I look at McCain as the extension of the previous admin. He seems to be hell bent on making the world pay for the fact that he was a POW. We need someone who is going to talk with leaders!!! Not plan to attack and arrest them. Brian is right! We need to keep the people who get elected working for US (the people) That is what has been missing in the previous Admins.there has been no one looking to hold them accountable. Think about the protests that used to be in DC! The people stood together and showed their strength w/o even having to resort to violence.....but people need to wake up! We can no longer say it is enough that we live in a Democracy. We must make that government work for us! And we must make people aware that they have this power!
I'm not American, but god I wish you'd all vote for Nader.
thank you...and I am. I agree with nim, I refuse to bend my vote to cater to the 2 party system because my 3rd party vote "takes away" a vote from someone i dont even feel should be in office anyway....
In France (and other places) there's 2 rounds of voting, so the top two candidates from the first round go head to head in the second round, allowing people to express their support for a third (or fourth or fifth) party candidate without, as they say "wasting your vote" (that is, if you really don't want the conservatives to get back in you can vote for the other candidate in the second round).

They also have something called the "popular vote" which I think is also a good idea, and could have settled 2000 without all that messy Florida business.
france did something right right!!!!!!!!!!!

the elections here (us) arere all fucked up
I am voting for obama because I feel that he is willing (for the most part) to talk to leaders of other nations instead of applying sanctions or worse, with little or no dialogue as the current administration has done. The McCain camp seems to be ready to continue this trend which seems to divide the world rather than unite it.
I admit I am not sure what will happen with Obama if he gets elected.....but I sure as hell know what we will be getting with Mccain.
I also feel that instead of approving MORE DRILLING FOR OIL! We need to break away from oil dependance all together....it makes no difference where it is coming from.
I feel that we need someone who will talk about and listen to the issues instead of just giving the same one-iners over and over......ENOUGH OF THE OLD TACTICS. It is time we expect more from our president than "I sure hope he doesnt get too drunk and start dancing with the african ambassador again". We have been the worlds joke....and the worlds police for too many years. It is time to be the worlds uniter, the worlds support. I feel hope and pride when I look at Obama and hear him try to unify the people, Its more of the same from McCain and I am tired of it.
:o)
Sadly I'm one of those people who is going to vote for Obama even though I would vote for a third party if I voted true to my beliefs. I consider it a vote against an McCain/Palin white house because that scares the hell out of me. But Ron Paul is who I want in the white house.
I would understand where you were coming from if Obama was a bit less of a shill. He is a member of the Council On Foreign Relations which is a think tank responsible for the PNAC documents(Project for a New American Century) which has been preparing to implement the North American Union. In the PNAC document they openly discuss destroying the economy which will in turn destroy our currency, they are trying to desolve the borders, which would be a great idea if it did not have a malicious intent. The point of dissolving the pride and sovereinty is to get people to see that we all must unite for the greater good.
As much as I wish this were not true, Obama is not the answer. His campaign advisor if Berzinski and if you are unaware of his evil, please look him up. I just really hope that more people would look at him as another politician instead of a high-up brotha.
McCain is a dangerous old man and he is unstable. He is not intouch with the voting masses and that can be seen by watching (I know it's hard) one of his "I am a true maverick".
Do you really see Obama as black? Will he be able to relate to you and your struggles as a black woman?
Obama is also a major supporter of Israel occupying Palestinian land as well as pledging to back up Israel no matter what group of people they decide should be ethnically cleansed. Biden's Israeli record is even worse.
I would have loved him to be the great black hope for us at this time, however I do not see it happening with this industry shill.
Jen
wow jen, take the words right out of my mouth...
