I am voting for Obama.
He is fighting for the little guy.
John McCain seems to be too hot headed and too ready to jump the gun.
With his selection of Sarah Palin im espically scared of a McCain white house. She is too far to the right and wants government to make decisions for you. Her choice is everyones choice. She tried to ban books from a public library because she found them offensive. I think as an adult i can decide for myself what is and what is not offensive.
Most of what she has said since being nominated VP has been lies or exaggerations.
Has anyone else noticed that she keeps giving the same speech over and over again.
She says shes like a pittbull with lip stick....more like Karl Rove with lip stick.
hhahaha
sarah palin is just a very bad idea. plus mccain is the oddest person to run for president and that makes sarah a heartbeat away from president. seems like a bad risk

yeah but the goverment is the goverment and voting obama might help a little but over all it wont do to much right?
If Obama wins we need to make sure he keeps his word. Once the election is over, the battle has just begun!!!!!
I would vote for Obama if I could. Although the goverment is the goverment, I feel Obama is one of the few peope that could actually be pushed to help, a little at least. McCain isn't right to be president, he listens to nothing that the people say. He intends to do the exact opposite of what most people want, but he doesn't care.

Oh and we can't just hold it to politicians to do everything, we must be the ones to lay the foundation for a good future because we are that future. God that sounded cheesy, but yeah. <_/body>
I have had a bunch of cheesy words spewing out of me since i joind FWT.........lol
ron paul is supposed to announce something pertaining to the elections on the 10th. if hes running on a third party ticket then i will vote for him.
if not then i really have to weigh my options.
3rd parties just steal votes.
yea there good (maybe the best) but they will never win unless some thing amazing happens
i could care less whether he wins or not but i find him to be qualified by my personal standards. so if he miraculously decides to run again then im not changing my ethics just to satisfy the wishes of the two party system; my vote would go to him.
i respect that
Its that kind of disinformation and attitude is why third parties don't do any good, and its why we continue to struggle with this god awful two party system. It stems from having no idea how the public funding system works, and really, more than anything that attitude is just another fear tactic used by both sides of the right and left. Even more so it stems from a lack of imagination of the people who want to see change.

Instead of having a defeatist attitude about REAL change, which we'll never get from a major candidate, DO something about it...

its sad when we're not supporting the people who ACTUALLY share our views

That mind-set is false. No offense but how can it be "stealing votes" if that is who the person wants to vote for. If everyone voted for who they really want instead of who they say we are allowed to vote for, our political landscape would look totally different.
Nimasco says it great with this "im not changing my ethics just to satisfy the wishes of the two party system; my vote would go to him." Well done Nimasco!
The people whom are stealing the votes are the people using the automated voting machines. Go to blackboxvoting.org for extensive proof that not only were the last two elections stolen but the primaries were also tampered with.
This is why in many European countries proportional representation is used - not everyone's views can be represented by a simple left-right split.

You guys be careful with Obama. In the UK we've made the mistake after voting for a young energetic reformer after a long bleak period of Conservative rule and have been bitterly disappointed.

(*cough* Tony Blair *cough*)
