Now I may just be opening my self up for a whole lot of "interesting" comments but am I the only one who feels bad for President George W Bush. I just feel that he has taken the flak for a whole bunch of shit that was not necessarily under his full control. Lets take Iraq. The situation over there was bad, really bad. If you are honest with yourself I think you will see that intervention needed to happen and with a situation like that sooner is better than later. Sure the whole mess probably could have been prevented but thats not my point. Anyways the fact that President Bush stepped up and took action to help remedy the situation, I think is a very strong move. Yes things got ugly and are still a bit ugly but a lot of that was unavoidable due to the enemy we are fighting. We are making a difference over there and plans are being made to pull out. It seems that there are a lot of conspiracy theory's about this war being just about oil. That just seems ignorant and a product of neo-liberalism. People need to educate themselves and hear BOTH sides of the story and not just what liberal spun media wants you to believe. All in all President Bush has just become a scapegoat in all this, people need to blame someone, why not our elected leader? He speaks differently makes up an occasional word, "He must be an idiot", or maybe no man is perfect and English wasn't his strong suit. Charisma does not make a leader a good leader, charisma is just a tool to help sway people in your direction. Hell one of the most charismatic leaders in world history was Hitler and we all know how that turned out. Take action, Educate yourself, Don't use people as scapegoats.
Thats my rant, lets see where it leads.

p.s. sorry for the tangents, I tend to do that.

oh this is a touchy subject, i have not even fished reading the whole post, but i can already think of many ways this conversation can go. Personally, I have a good explanation why none of what you just said matters, but i'll wait for a day or so to see what others think.

PS. the current news looks good about IRAN, finally the US seems to be cooling down. Now we need to prevent a false flag.
It is touchy and hard to talk about because some people are very close minded about it. I just figure that if this site really believes what they say then this is the proper place to bring it up, and to hopefully get some good, educated, and civil dialog and debate.

i agree tat not everything is his fault, i think he is A: much more a puppet than most think and B: he didnt make alot of the desisions he was later blammed for. after all, congress was dem. for the last half. I do not however let him off the hook for breaking laws, international and american, and for invading a sovergn nation for, yes as much spin as the media has the got this one right, oil. but thats another post. so i agree but for different reasons. i also agree that people should be more open minded, even though i'm sure i dont seem it right now.
keep up the ood work, give your opinion, popular or un.
Wooooow. u got guts man. I see what you mean, but cant agree. Bush is no scapegoat. his title is president, commander in chief, leader of the free world. He wants to put us in occupation for oil...sorry, thats all it is. His family is made of TYCOONS! Hell, the V.P. was ceo of haliburton, or was that conspiracy too?
if he put us in the occupation for oil..then why are we paying 4+ dollars a gallon for gas? If this war was solely for oil, then wed be paying 1 dollar a gallon. If this war was solely for oil, then all the revenues for oil wouldnt be going to the government of Iraq. Before the war, we were paying a bit more then 1 dollar for oil, why invade another country for oil when we were doing fine with the amount we had?
I agree with Hezbamas, im gonna sit this one out for a few min to see what people have to say before I end up on a two day long tangent about why you are wrong. and Prisonerofwar you should change that to Commander and cheif, SEMI-leader of the sorta kinda free-ish world.
lol. love it doveglass.... ish. hahaha. would b free if it wasnt for our loyal loving "scapegoat"
Wow bro.... not offended, impressed mostly. this isnt the first of your comments to do that either. i think the end was a little...hmmm....but ur opinion is yours. i def. agree tho. but cheney is no fuckin scapegoat, he is just as guilty. maybe kfc guy tho...whats the deal with the nukes thing? never heard that...
Wow! Do we really have so many nukes that we can "accidentally" load them on a bomber and fly them across the US? Here is another question, Do we really need that many nukes?
Good reply, but I don't understand the last sentence? I would be very careful to cite who said that. You might offened someone who doesn't understand what you are saying.
Please ignore the n-word thing. I have been pissed off that i wrote that all day. I forget that this is not just another website, and members have never met me. I'm sorry.
