PLEASE STOP THIS HATRED *READ URGENT*
I was recently told about this website www.godhatesfags.com. At first I didn't think it was real because of the name but I visited the site and I almost broke into tears. The website is a homepage for a BAPTIST CHURCH! I watched their videos "God Hates Fags", "God Hates Fag Enablers", "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" and "Thank God for IED's" and I couldn't take anymore. I have never seen so much hatred in my life. They say that God wills all of this hatred and use the Bible like a weapon against the innocent. I have never known anyone to be more confused than these people. Visit the site, watch a few videos and you will understand what I mean and please when you're done reply with thoughts, opinions, oppositions, and ideas on how we can stop these people PLEASE THEY MUST BE STOPPED!

What I've never understood about certain Catholic religious groups is that they take Jesus's message love and compassion for everyone and turn it into a hate filled debauchery. I myself being a Christian aim to accept everyone.

ook im 13 i saw one of those videos 'god sent the shooter' and i started to cry becuases poel are holding up signs like god killed your son or your son burns in hell and i thought just for a second what if those poel came to my funeral for no reason and started doing that it just made me cry

I heard about this quite a while back and I'm really surprised that they are still around. But I didn't know this was a damn Baptist Church homepage. This is why I refuse to associate myself with religion nowadays. I have my beliefs and I don't need a label. There's so much corruption in the church... if they don't have the sense to spread love and peace, then leave to us: Fight With Tools.

First, I have had more than a few run-ins with Fred Phelps and his posse. I disagree with everything they claim and believe. However- to say that they must be stopped is completely against everything I stand for. Although I do believe that they are all despicable human, for whom I would not grace with even a tear... I will defend their right to say and believe anything they choose, and would expect the same from like minded people. With that said, they have no place in my community... so for now they sit on the edge... reminding us all of what happens when you stop listening to each other.

Well said Kick it over, couldnt agree more. Although Fred is an idiot, he does and will always have that right. Its something Im not willing to give up just to shut him up, I dont listen to him anyway. They do it to get a reaction and get shut down that only fuels that churches fire.

this is just a byproduct of why america is great, no matter how uninformed someone is they still have a voice. the way to fight back is doing what you did, alert people to the un educated, but it's sad i think there looking for attention, the further you fall the higher you fly, that type of thing. i am shure we all owne 'fight with tools,' its is no joke when they say 'there is a war going on for your mind.'

My boyfriend lives in Topeka and last weekend we saw the Phelps protesting. It was awful... I couldnt believe the signs that they were holding. To top it off, there were children too young to even understand. How can you teach that hatred at such a young age?! It's sickening!!

and this is why I sit back and wonder why the "other" groups out there in America don't stand and say, "WTF with the kids?" The children's advocacy groups are the one's I'm talking about... a child is a child and their minds can't understand but only be taught what's right and wrong so isn't taking the children there kind of a brain wash? How is that not an injustice in this country? We can't sell a beer label or cigarette packet if it even remotely, maybe in the slightest way would appeal to kids. But we can allow them, in a public setting (your home is a different place outside the countries eye), to be brain washed and that's ok?? Some groups will only care for so much, then you wonder where are they now?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It is appalling thinking that these poor children will be spoonfed this nonsense and hatred until they reach an age of independent thinking. Or worse, they may raise their kids that way. Now, this group may be a little extreme, but the saddest part is that their are lots of organizations like this.

These people are no better than the extremist schools in the Middle East teaching children how to be "martyrs". I'm not kidding, they tell them that. For a high schooler, I'm pretty damn well rounded. In WFW, it says "We'd rather make our children martyrs that murderers." That is only if there is no choice, no hope left on the front against hatred. They have completely twisted everything. And they deserve to be taught a lesson.
