Event Description

The Day of Silence is a nationwide protest that utilizes leaflets and day long vows of silence to bring attention and fight bullying over sexual orientation in school. It is not a rally for gay rights or the legality of gay marriage, it is simple a protest against bullying and hate crimes. This means any supporter of equality and happiness can participate without entering the gray area that often creates arguments and debates.

The Gay-Straight Alliance of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, WI will all be taking part in this event. We organize it every year and have a great turn out from our members, as well as others from the King community. There are many great people who support this cause!
